We don’t usually post in the evenings but I was scanning tonight and see such a big breakout potential stock here that I had to post it so I didn’t forget about it in the busyness of the morning.

We like RIO here. This one has very nice potential to get to 45+ in the next few weeks maybe even days. The sector is heating up and Brazil is also starting to get hot. This one can be a very nice swing trade. The R/R is just outstanding with the stop just under 38.30. I hope this one doesn’t gap up too much in the am as I plan on taking a nice position in this one.

Futures slightly flat this morning ahead of the FED announcement. Hearing some analysts looking for a .25 cut and then a jump and then possible sell off today so be very careful. What to watch for:

FSLR – reported good numbers this morning so we may see a pop. The 300# is a big pivot area. So whether you go long or short that’s a key number.

CMI- also reported good numbers, the pivot on this one is 60.

Markets back up in the green today after starting in the red this morning. Tech and financials running and the dollar actually looks like it’s gaining some momo back.

We’re watching V today and also MA. Both report after the bell today so we’ll see what happens.

Markets a little mixed this morning, but good earnings from AXP last night. Which boosted the price of V and MA! Hopefully some of you picked up some of them, we’ve mentioned V several times and even if you just traded it yesterday it didn’t disappoint! Today we still like it going into earnings, but play it smart.

We’re also looking at POT today.

It’s Friday!

Futures a bit down this morning, but could be decent day today. AAPL reported last night beating the street, but iffy guidance scared off some.

Today we’ll continue to watch V as it’s been bouncing. If it breaks below 70 may see 69, on the other hand if it breaks above 72 may see 74+.

Also watch AAPL today as traders digest last nights report.

On the watch list today…

V – again may run and if it breaks that 72.50 may even touch 75.

IPI – Potash IPO we’ll have to see how it moves to get a good direction on it.

Futures were lower this morning with Bank of America (BAC) reporting more writedowns.

Today we’re watching V as it broke above 70 again and is now coming back down. A break above 70 again and we might see some real movement up towards the 72 range, if the markets were green today we’d say 72-75 range.

Also watching IMCL, they may pick up some market share of a drug that a competitor just got taken off the market. This one might see 50 today.

WOW, futures are way up this morning. GOOG blew out the street with super earnings numbers! CAT and HON also beat the street! We may have enough bullish news to keep this run going! But this is the stock market, so we could also see a sell off with it being Friday and options expiration day.

What to watch today:

GOOG – With their numbers last night we could potentially see 550 today. There definitely is more upside than downside potential in this today.

AAPL – We may also see some optimism in AAPL, although it’s been running all week, but a break of 160 and a strong market and we may see 170.

CHL – we’re also watching this one as a mobile play.

To follow up on yesterday’s play, we didn’t get the trigger on POZN so no biggie on that one.

Futures were lower this morning with higher oil and more MER write downs. IBM however had some monster earnings yesterday so it’s keeping the markets afloat. After the close GOOG reports earnings and options expiration tomorrow so we could be in for a wild afternoon and day tomorrow.

Didn’t see too much we liked this morning so we figured better safe than sorry.

Futures up this morning on good earnings news from INTC, also the FDA approved POZN’s drug last night.

So our pick today is hit or miss. We’re going to watch POZN. This one could go either way this morning…

The upside – if it breaks and runs this one could see 19’s today, FDA approved, a migraine drug which has potential to be huge. Large short interest, I think about 30%.

The downside – generic migraine drug to come out in December, Imitrex is it’s competition.

We’ll watch it closely, a break and run above 15 and we could be off to the races, still would keep stops fairly tight after the break as it may try to trap, but FDA news usually always brings big moves so we’ll see which way we’re going to trade it.
