Fear The Future Radio

We’re working overtime this week, trying to find some potential runners for this week. If oil continues to run this week here are a few plays that could be big:

HERO – More than doubled it’s avg volume. It’s in the right sector and looks poised to run to $42+ with a stop a little under $37. Great risk to reward on this one!

USO – Kind of the obvious play if oil keep going.

AAPL – took a bit of a hit last week with the markets and also with RIMM missing earnings. If it drops below $169 we think it may headed to 157’s, but it may bounce a bit before then. Earnings aren’t til July 21’s so we may see some more down side action before then. May be a good time to try range trading here.

Those are just some of the picks we like this coming week. The nasdaq may test 4500 and catch a little bounce but a break of that and yikes.

Futures a little lower this morning. We may take it easy today with the beating the market took yesterday. But man we got out of AAPL too soon!

We’ll keep an eye on aapl today also USO and HK as oil plays, but they seem to be getting a lot of attention now so we wouldn’t go big if we take any positions today.

We’ll keep you posted if we do see anything.

AAPL just hit 170.95. Target was 171! It bounced back up but if we see more downside action today it may really drop. If it breaks it again and hold it may go to 168ish.

If we see anything else we’ll let you know!

Shoot, just noticed for some reason the post didn’t go through this morning.

We were watching RIMM,AAPL, and MON today since RIMM has earnings after the close and MON reported this morning.

Fed didn’t do anything to the rstes so the market seems to think that was the right move. Markets currently green but be careful they may sell back off this afternoon. The RIMM earnings report after the close should set somewhat of a stage for the tech sector tomorrow.

Futures way down this morning, and the fed is meeting. Expectations are that they don’t change any rates, so we’ll see what happens this week.

We’re watching:

BHP, RDC, BG and AAPL today.

We’re back after a few week leave to Chicago. Futures looking up this morning. This is what we’re watching today:

RIMM – Keeping close stops on it, if it can stay above 146 it may test 148 then a break of that another $2.

BG – Can see a test of 127 and a break of that could potentially see the 130s. Stop just under 125, it may drop below that at the open but if it comes back above it, that may be the time to enter.

AAPL – Looking kind of scary, may test the 171 level.

ENER – May have just got caught in Friday’s sell off. If that’s the case it could easily test that 80 level and break it.

Well, that’s what we’re looking at today. After friday’s sell off just be careful when taking long positions, the big money might not be finished profit taking. Trade smart!

Futures look a little lower this morning. I’m still out of town this week but going to keep trying to give you what I’m watching.

AAPL – We still like it long but have tight stops in place. In a bearish market don’t overload your positions so if you’re playing this one use tight stops or enter with small amts.

USO – If oil still continues higher this one may get to 130 in a few weeks so keep it on the radar as a swing or get in on the upside action for daytrades.

Futures up this morning. We’re watching:

CMED- stop just under 36 target 39

AAPL – still looks like it wants to get back to $200 so keep tight stops but looks good.
